Uno Duo Torri
Designed by Martin Lai

By clustering the vertical transportation and introducing intermediate points of interest through reconfiguring the hierarchy of the programs, the social environment in the tower becomes multi-vertical transportation driven. This offers variations in volume of people flow, choices of transportation and improving internal air ventilation with transportation other than conventional lift spine. Both escalator driven and lift driven clusters could work independently or cooperatively, depending on the needs of social distancing. Intermediate spaces of interests are where people are allowed to switch vertical speed in post pandemic times according to their preferences. However, this switching will not be allowed during pandemic times, meaning people will stick with their social distancing preferences and their circulation network to create a safer environment and preserve functionality of the whole tower.
